Ashalon Goodrich is a licensed attorney and enrolled member of the Blackfoot, Siksika Nation (First Nations), with a strong commitment to serving Native communities and advancing tribal sovereignty. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University (2007), and earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2023, where she was a dedicated student leader and advocate for diversity and inclusion. Ms. Goodrich contributes to Mitchell Hamline’s Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute as a board member of its alumni advisory group, the Native American Laws and Sovereignty (NALS) Board.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Goodrich served as a Reviewing Attorney at the Texas Workforce Commission in Commission Appeals. She is admitted to the bar in Texas.
Ms. Goodrich’s law school career was marked by outstanding achievement and leadership. She received the Rosalie E. Wahl Trailblazer Award and was named National NALSA 3L of the Year in 2023. Her chapter also received the National NALSA Chapter of the Year award that same year. She served as president of the Mitchell Hamline NALSA chapter, as well as a National NALSA Area 8 Representative. She contributed as an editing associate for the Mitchell Hamline Law Journal of Public Policy & Practice and participated in NALSA Moot Court. She was also honored with the Minnesota Justice Foundation Law School Public Service Award in 2023 and served as a student representative on Mitchell Hamline’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Faculty Board from 2021 to 2023.
