Ms. Johnson is a Senior Attorney based in Porcupine, South Dakota, on the Pine Ridge Reservation. She graduated with honors from Red Cloud High School in 2010 and from Oglala Lakota College in 2018. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in May 2021. While in law school, she served as President of the Native American Law Students Association and was named Best Oralist at the National NALSA Moot Court Competition in Berkeley, California.

Since graduating from law school, Ms. Johnson has worked extensively with tribal entities, including tribal housing authorities and tribally controlled grant schools. Her work includes drafting policies, advising on compliance matters, and supporting organizational governance. She has also represented tribes and tribal entities in litigation matters, including eviction proceedings in both tribal court and before the Office of Eviction Hearings for the Oglala Sioux Tribe. In addition, she has experience negotiating disputes and participating in mediation.

Ms. Johnson is committed to advancing tribal self-sufficiency and upholding tribal sovereignty in her legal practice.

Ms. Johnson is admitted to practice law in the States of North Dakota and Montana, as well as in the Oglala Sioux Tribal Court and several other tribal courts. She is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and a descendant of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
